At Warlords of Aternum I started working as a Level Designer to create new content, later I took over more obligations as a Jr. Game Designer. To enhance KPIs and successfully relaunch a beloved product my range of duties became manifold.
I designed a new premium shop system and products to boost monetization, helped to raise the app rating, eased the on-boarding and the following player guidance. Many content updates were planned, designed, and implemented by me, like the following results:
31 new handcrafted Maps with 300 unique battles
70 army compositions with over 2800 generated battles
3 new Player units and 7 NPC units with 18 abilities in total
During my time I learn how to maintain a live game and how to deliver regularly new content for an active community. I picked up how to manage massive content updates and synchronize with the team. From this I established processes, pipelines and methods how to handle the workload. With joy I got again into programming to provide tools for myself and others thereby improving velocity and consistency. My knowledge of the market was strengthened and I got into analyzing player behaviour and observing KPIs.
