At Luna, the players are kids again and fight each other on a freely walkable planet. In this fight reality and imagination blends. This student project from the fifth semester was developed as a vertical prototype, utilizing the methods of agile software development with many iterations and feedback loops.
As the Game Designer, I developed the GDD, which also included a roadmap, scope, and concepts of gameplay, UI, controls, setting, style, mood, and audio for Luna. As the Level Designer, I designed and implemented the level and environment. I worked closely with the concept art team, to make the environment concepts for the planet and the morphing props. I shaped and arranged the content of the world, which the art team filled with assets. With another game designer, we planned, executed and analyzed consistently tests and surveys of test players. With my team, we created a small, playable and presentable vertical slice prototype.
During this project, I extend my knowledge about applied level and game design. It sharped my skills as a game designer to work iteratively on quality assurance and extended my know-how about the Unity Engine, his functions, and potentiality.
Thanks and a shout out to my friends and team mates.
